# Free beta and usage limits

The hyperopt.dev public beta has **no billing**. Create and verify an account to request tuning suggestions while training your models locally. You remain responsible for the compute you use on your own machine or infrastructure.

## Current beta limits

| Limit | Allowance |
| --- | --- |
| Active sessions per account | 1 |
| New sessions per account per day | 20; resets at midnight UTC |
| Maximum session lifetime | 2 hours, including time waiting for capacity |

Capacity is shared. Session requests can wait for capacity, and new sessions may be temporarily unavailable. End sessions you no longer need; the demo requests cleanup automatically. Read the [quickstart's cleanup guidance](https://hyperopt.dev/docs/quickstart).

## What is included?

- Access to the hosted tuning service during the public beta, subject to the limits above.
- The Tuning Client Python SDK and optional CPU demos on [PyPI](https://pypi.org/project/tuning-client/).
- Local reference schedulers in the demo that can run without an account.

The demo compares ten model configurations at a time with a tuning cap of 50 observations. Read [how observations are counted](https://hyperopt.dev/docs/how-it-works).
